2018 Renewing Dues
for Primary Members
Dues to the Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS® (MTAR) are annual dues.  Membership dues fund a variety of the association's expenses.  In addition to staff salaries, your dues fund:
► Membership Ceremonies and Functions
► Building and Operating Expenses
► Classroom & Education Expenses
► Arbitration and Mediation Expenses
► Professional Services, such as Technology Help Tools and Legal Services
► Public Relations and Media Programs
► Government Affairs Speakers and other programs our members need and want

It is the responsibility of your local association (MTAR) to also collect your dues for the State (TAR) and National (NAR) associations as well.  When you submit your membership dues, MTAR keeps only a portion.  The remainder goes to fund TAR's services, the TAR Issues Mobilization Fund, NAR's Services and the National Public Awareness Fund.

For 2018, Primary Member renewing dues are as follows:
MTAR$250.00
TAR   $120.00
NAR   $155.00
Total Dues$525.00

In addition, each member is requested to invest in RPAC.  For 2018, each member's "fair share" has been determined to be $25.00.  Brokers, Board Members and owner/operators of Appraisal Firms are requested to invest $100.00.  RPAC is voluntary, and is not a portion of membership dues, or a  condition of membership.  Continue to the RPAC  page on this website for additional information.

Payment Options
On-Line Payment Option

Payment for your 2018 Renewing Membership may be made on-line at www.nar.realtor.  This is the preferred method.

To do this, you must first have registered at NAR’s website. This site is 100% secure, and offers you the payment option of Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Electronic Check. You will receive a receipt of your payment from the site (I will also receive the receipt after you pay and will enter the information in our internal records).

If you are a registered user: (click the picture to the left on this page to enlarge if you cannot locate Sign In OR Pay Dues)
1, Choose "Sign In" at the top of the screen, near the middle, in RED.  If you cannot remember your user name, you can look it up using your NRDS number; if you cannot remember your password, it can be e-mailed to you by selecting that option.
2. Choose “Pay Dues” in the upper right hand corner, second row.
3. Choose “My Invoice".
4. Choose "Pay My 2018 Invoice".
5. At this point your 2018 renewing dues invoice will appear.  The total will say $625.00

Do not panic!! There is $100.00 of voluntary RPAC in this total. If you wish to change your investment, place your cursor inside the dollar amount field (100.00) and change the amount to whatever you choose to invest.  You can invest any amount you want, and the invoice will adjust accordingly.  The invoice amount cannot go below $525.00, as this is the minimum dues payment.   Choose APPLY CHANGES.

6. Apply Changes if Necessary
7. Choose "View Final Invoice & Disclaimer" (if you wish)
8. Choose "Pay Invoice" and then continue to make payment.  Either Pay Now with Credit Card or Electronic Check (my experience has been that most people have difficulties with the electronic check option)
9. If you need help, please call MTAR at 615-893-2242 between 8 am and 4:30 pm.  Ask for Wayman.  Please be at your computer ready to make payment.

Follow this link to www.nar.realtor to make payment now.

If you have never registered:
1. Choose "Register" at the top of the screen, near the middle, next to SIGN IN.
2.  Answer the questions.
Note:  You will need your NRDS number.  Select a username and choose a password.  Choose a security question.  Be sure to "Agree to the terms".  (The rest of the information regarding your business fields is not necessary to complete the registration process).
3.  Close the www.REALTOR.org window; wait for 5 minutes; re-open the window and follow the instructions for "If you are a registered user" above.

Again, if you need help, please call MTAR at 615-893-2242.  Ask for Wayman, and please be at your computer.
Request your Invoice

Payment for your 2018 Renewing Membership may be made by scanning and then e-mailing the payment information to one of the MTAR staff members.  Members should be aware that this form of payment is not as secure as the on-line options.  In order to make payment in this method, the member MUST request the invoice via e-mail; complete the credit or debit card  information (Visa, Discover, or MasterCard only), and then scan & e-mail the completed information back to MTAR.

MTAR is requesting that you do NOT fax your payment (although your invoice says that you can).  This process can be slow, and in addition to not being a secure option, faxes may not be received, even if you receive confirmation of transmission.  For your convenience, faxing is a payment option; but not a recommended one.

To request your invoice, follow the below link.  Please be aware of MTAR's office hours  (Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm).

Request your invoice now via e-mail.  Please enter 2018 Dues invoice in the subject line.
Pay In Person
MTAR is open between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, excluding holidays.

The MTAR staff will print your invoice, process your payment and make a copy for your records.  Please be patient and considerate of other members who need the staff's assistance.

Members should be aware of the policies regarding Payment Deadlines
Payment Deadlines

To renew your membership to MTAR, and avoid any late fees, full payment must be on or before
Monday January 16th, 2018 by 4:30 pm.

Payments RECEIVED after January 16th will be accessed a $25.00 late fee.
This late fee will remain in effect for all payment RECEIVED through January 30th, 2018 4:30 pm.

All RENEWING dues payments RECEIVED after January 30th, 2018 will be accessed a late fee of $100.00.

Deadline for payment is January 16th, 4:30 pm.
This represents WHEN the payment must be RECEIVED by MTAR.

In the past, we have allowed post office stamp dates to count as “on-time” (meaning, if it was postmarked the 16th, but we didn’t receive until the 20th, it was still considered on time).
This year, post office stamp date is meaningless.
Payment must be RECEIVED by MTAR on January 16th 4:30 pm to be on-time.
A $25.00 late fee will be accessed on all payments received after that date through January 30th, 4:30 pm.
A $100.00 reapplication fee will be accessed on all payments received after January 30th.
